For a number of services offered by KPN to its customers an Intelligent Network architecture is used. This architecture makes implementing new and changing existing services much simpler. About four times a year the project team delivers new releases of the software for the IN platform. As Release Manager, I was responsible for the communication surrounding these releases as well as a correct implementation of the new software. My primary tasks and responsibilities were:

• Managing of source code and documentation
• Planning and tracking of the Release-process
• Communication with the client concerning Releases
• Managing the ‘bug-administration’ database

Beside my activities as a Release Manager, I also worked on several bug fixes and change-request. Primarily the ones that needed a high level of technical expertise were handled and solved by me.
